Si Fatima at ang Kwintangan Kayu" features a musical instrument, the kwintangan kayu, used by Yakans in their planting and harvest of palay to encourage a bountiful harvest. It tells of the transfer of cultural practices between generations as Fatima’s father relates to her the practices of their forefathers. The book engages young readers through a very colorful rendition of all the pages, inspired by the colorful Yakan textiles.
