This narrative presents the Hanunuo Mangyan girl Dumay Gawid and her native culture. The distinctive features of their dress, weave, and writing in Surat Mangyan, the Hanunuo script, are highlighted. Hanunuo is one of the eight Mangyan groups that can be found in provinces of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro.
